Is there a token?

No, there is no token.

When will there be a token?

We’re laser focused on getting to product-market-fit right now. There may or may not be a token in the future.

What are the fees on the markets?

As of March 10, 2025, a 2.5% transaction fee is charged every time a user places an order. Forty-five percent of the fee generated from each order is shared with the referring user (if any), and 5% is shared with the creator of the market. This fee structure may change from time to time.

How are the market odds determined?

Real-time odds are determined by the market only, not by AI or any other predefined algorithms. Odds are the ratio of total $ orders on Yes/No.

What are the benefits of creating new markets (for the creator)?

You earn 5% of all fees from each market you create.

What is the market mechanism?

Dynamic parimutuel.

Can I buy and sell on either side?

With a parimutuel, you can buy Yes and No tokens, but you cannot sell.

Is this on a blockchain?

Yes, we currently work with Base blockchain and USDC. We will support Solana very soon.

Do I need to pay gas fees?

No, factCheck sponsors all gas fees for users.

How does resolution work?

Markets are resolved by factCheck’s AI network of credibly neutral agents. factCheck AI’s resolution stands, even if it defies popular opinion. Disagree? Clone the market and submit stronger proof. We believe the free market is an extraordinary incentive for uncovering truth, and fresh evidence can always come to light. That’s why a single market can resolve differently at a later date—and why each has a clear expiration.

How is AI used?

AI agents are used in the following ways:

  1. Market creation: convert a question or news link into a falsifiable claim
  2. Automatically gather evidence on either side
  3. Market resolution

How can I create a market?

  1. Anyone can create fact-check markets by tagging @‌factcheckAIBot in any dubious tweet.
  2. Users can simply paste a link to a news article into the interface, and AI will generate the market information.
  3. Users can manually input market details: title, description, image
  4. Users can add a question, and AI will generate the market information.

How can I add evidence?

Anyone can add evidence manually or by pasting a link to a news article.

What’s the benefit of betting early?

There’s no direct financial advantage to betting early in a pari-mutuel system, because the payout is determined after the pool closes. However, early betting can influence how odds appear to others, ensure you don’t miss the betting window, and avoid last-minute crowds.

Expiration dates for markets?

We try to do one resolution at 11am EST everyday. These are currently determined by the team, based on the timeliness of the market, the trading volume, and the evidence submitted.

What assets do you support?

We only support USDC on Base. Do not send any other assets (ETH, USDT, SOL, etc). We are not responsible for it.

Is there a criteria for creating a market?

Market data cannot be changed after creation. Failure to follow these rules could result in market cancellation without refund:

  • Markets should be falsifiable. We're not looking for opinions; we're here to seek the truth.
  • Be as specific as possible - mention dates and exact conditions.
  • Humor is always appreciated.
  • Respect privacy. Do not to address personal lives.
  • Don't be defamatory or generally in bad taste.
  • Never aim to adjudicate mortality of individual people or even small groups.
  • Don't be malicious or hurtful in anyway.
  • Be respectful, and act in good faith.
